Water is a basic need for all of us. We drink it, use it to grow our food, produce energy and in our industrial production processes. With the growing population and the need to grow more food, the lack of water will be more severe in the future. It is in the interest of society to work on a better understanding of the local water cycle and to implement this knowledge to manage our water resources better.

The boy in the picture, and many others in the city of Fes - Morocco, use water from a river that runs through the city. They obviously have a water problem...
